The Busy Women's Guide to Fitness

Writer: Karen DarlingtonKaren Darlington

I know life gets busy. Finding time to work out can feel impossible.

You’ve got your work. Your family. Your kids. Your grandkids. Your friends. Your commitments. Fitting in exercise can be a challenge. You might even have some injuries that scare you.

But here’s the good news: it’s not about spending hours in the gym. It’s about making them count.

Let me show you how to make it work.

The Busy Woman’s Guide to Fitness

#1 Short, Effective Workouts:

Workouts can be done in as little as 30 minutes a few times a week. These workouts can be designed to be quick and effective, fitting seamlessly into your busy schedule.

#2 Incorporate Activity into Your Day:

- Get a standing desk

- Go for a walk at lunch

- Go off a train stop earlier

- Opt for a walking meeting

- Always park at the back of a car park

- Take the stairs instead of the lift

- Opt to meet a friend for a walk first followed by a coffee

- Do a quick set of squats while waiting for your coffee to brew.

Small changes can add up.

#3 Consistency Over Perfection:

It’s not about being perfect every day. It’s about being consistent over time.

Even short bursts of activity can make a big difference if done regularly.

#4 Prioritise Your Health:

Remember, taking care of yourself is essential. When you’re healthier, you’ll have more energy and be more productive in other areas of your life.
